An interesting little brush used for removing pieces of dust and cork from around a wine bottle prior to, and during, the opening of it.
It is made of wood and is Black Forest in origin, the carved figure being of a Bavarian gentleman resting on a tree stump. The brush is sort of bristle, much coarser than a normal brush.

The condition is very good considering it is an item to be used. I can only see very small chips to the back of the gentleman's hat. These are hardly noticeable.

The overall length is 4.5 inches or 11.5cms.
It dates from the Edwardian period.
