15ct Amethyst & Paste Suffragette ring
Birmingham 1922
Size O and 1/2.
The Suffragette movement, founded by Emmeline Pankhurst in 1903, advocated for votes for women. They used the colours purple, green and white. they were symbolic in their movement and were used on their banners and badges etc.
Purple stood for loyalty and dignity. White represented purity and green symbolized hope and the emblem of Spring.

Approximate dimensions: setting 16.8mm across and 8.4mm wide, band 2.6mm wide and .9mm thick.
The design on the band is a little rubbed but still clearly visible.
There are surface marks associated with normal use and age.
Overall in very good condition.
