Note About Antique & Vintage Mechanical Clocks
Mechanical clocks by nature are not as accurate as modern quartz clocks. Time keeping can be dependent on a range of variables including changes in temperature. If looking for a time piece that is accurate to the second it is better not to have a mechanical clock. However, if a little bit of variability in timing (up to +/- a minute or so a day) is acceptable, mechanical clocks add a presence to a room, not just because of their styling but also because of a lovely reassuring background tick.
