Description

A rare early 19thC Hall Porters Chair, in mahogany and leather, this lovely chair stands on original steel castors and is upholstered in brown leather with decorative nailing and a buttoned leather squab cushion under which is a small cupboard. The chair has a framed label which states " This chair was done for 2nd (indistinct) Nov 12th 1804 by Wm (indistinct) at (indistinct) (indistinct) Marsh & Tatham, Mount St, Grosvenor Square, London. The upholstery is later but otherwise the chair is in very original condition. 1600mm high, 830mm wide and 780mm deep. English. Dated 1804
