Longwy

In 1798 Boch and Nothomb founded a faience factory in Longwy-Bas. Known for its overglaze enamel decoration, often in a manner similar to cloisonné which was introduced by Amédée de Caranza in 1875. Their production thrived reaching a peak in the Art Deco period and continues to the present day carried on by the Société des faïenceries de Longwy et Senelle, often in cooperation with artists and ceramists.
