Excellent quality early 19th century William IV (circa 1830) reclining leather and mahogany library chair, attributed to Gillows of Lancaster. The reclining back includes elegant, removable head supports on each side. There are signs of historical repair to the back legs but are only visible on very close inspection. It does not detract from the elegance, and quality of the chair.
