Circa 1920, very stylish mahogany and walnut two part corner cabinet by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The top section has a large glazed door and simple mahogany sides. The top front section has an oval burr walnut panel. The door opens to reveal the interior with two mirror backs, two glass shelves, and a polished mahogany base. Beneath the top section is a simple moulded edge and a single drawer with matching flame mahogany veneers and two simple solid wooden handles with a stylish pattern on the top. Beneath this is a pair of flamed mahogany doors with crossbanding. This opens to reveal a single shelf inside. Standing on simple bracket feet. Provenance The cabinet was the property of David Reid.

Size 167cm high x 64cm wide x 34cm deep.
