A stunning early Victorian Papier Mache trumpet sewing table in the style of Jennens & Betridge. Of hexagonal form with black lacquer ground and gilded and painted decoration with applied mother of pearl. The sewing box opens via the original working lock and key and has re-lined blue velvet lids with papered partitions. The whole stands on three gold leaf decorated shaped legs with brass casters.
