Victorian Hallmarked Silver Napkin Hook c. 1898
An interesting little Antique Victorian Silver Napkin Hook dating from the days of formal dining and table etiquette!
The hook would attach to a waistcoat or buttonhole. Sliding the little silver ring up the shaft would open the clip into which one's napkin would be inserted and secured by sliding the ring back down.
Hallmarked for Birmingham, we believe in 1898. The hallmarks are tiny and just visible on the hook in picture 4. Maker's initials 'DT'.
Initials IA on the clip inside an interesting crest.
In very good fully fuctioning condition!
Would make a quirky gift (for the person who has everything!)or as an addition to a collection.
