This is a beautiful coffer with an excellent naturally developed colour and original carved front. The top rail carved with beautifully formed lunettes, confident and fluidly carved by an experienced hand and repeated to the bottom rail. The stiles and muntins with foliage with flourishing terminals, deeply carved and showing the regularity of an experienced hand. Each fielded panel filled with stylised tulips.
