1960s Vintage Solid Teak and Brass Standard Floor Lamp
The standard lamp was a staple of every mid century living room, and gives a lovely gentle glow, especially when paired with this shade with a gold interior to reflect the light.
Dating from the 1960s, this large and handsome example is made from solid teak with a brass stem. It has a quality build and has been restored to show off the colour and grain of the wood. The new velvet shade perfectly complements the colour of the vintage brass. (If preferred, the lamp is available with an olive green or black shade, or we're happy to quote a price without shade.)
The lamp has been carefully taken apart, cleaned, rewired and reassembled. The brass lamp holder, flex and plug have all been replaced. The wood has been stripped and oiled, and the brass polished. There is a small area on the base with some scratches - see last picture. Please examine all the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request additional pictures. The lamp takes a standard bayonet light bulb.
Measurements:
With shade: height 168cm, diameter 36cm
Without shade: height 150cm, diameter 34cm
All of our electrical products are PAT tested and inspected before sale. This fixture has been tested and is in good working order, however as with all vintage electrical items, the buyer should consider seeking professional advice and testing.
