Sterling silver jug, Mappin & Webb, B'ham, 1915
A fine sterling silver jug, hallmarked for Mappin and Webb, Birmingham, 1915.
The jug is in good condition, with only minor wear as would be expected. It measures approx 7.5 cm (3 ins) high (to top of spout)by 12 cm (4 3/4 ins) wide from end of handle to spout, by 7 cm (2 3/4 ins) deep (across top of jug), and weighs approx 76g.
Standing on 3 feet, the jug sits well, the top edge has a decorative pie crust design.
The jug has good clear hallmarks and has no personalised engravings.
