Fine pair of large late 19th.c. engravings of Daniel in the Lion's den c.1895. After the painting Daniel’s Answer to the King by Briton Riviere (1840-1920). Two views of Daniel in a cell of heavy stonework with Egyptian carving, he stands with his hands bound, serene and unafraid whilst the lions cower around him. Good condition, presented behind glass in the original oak frames.
