A really attractive and highly decorative Pair of 18th Century Sanguine (Red) Stipple Engravings in original circular Giltwood Frames.Engraved by the Russian, Gabriel Scorodoomoff, and after Angelica Kauffman.Scorodoomoff was born in 1750 in St.Petersburg and came to England to study under Bartolozzi.He died in 1792. The Giltwood frames are in very sound condition and still show remains of the original Gilding.The Diameter s are 34 cms Max.c.1777. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antiques Emporium,Lewes,E.Sussex and also The Arcade, The Corn Exchange,The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells..If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in either Shop.
