A magnificent and large pair of early 20th.c. solid meranti wood carved pigs. Presumed to be of Southeast Asian origin, probably originally intended as temple decoration. Each decorated in relief with flowers and leaves, with a detachable panel revealing a small space inside, we assume for leaving votive offerings. Good solid condition with great character, original paint still partially visible, with some external weathering and wear.
