New Hall Tea Cup & Saucer London Shape Pat. 1485
Pretty New Hall tea cup and saucer in the London shape, pattern 1485, c.1825. Beautifully painted with stylised flowers and foliage in pinks and greens with a touch of yellow and red and with blue bands to the rims, foot and well. Unmarked. Reference "New Hall" by David Holgate plate 351.
The cup measures 2 1/4" high, 3 5/8" wide rim to rim and 4 1/4" rim to handle. The saucer is 5 3/8" wide and 1 1/4" high. Condition is good there is a star crack in the centre of the saucer with a small chip underneath being the cause. Light surface wear and there is also a small firing line inside the cup.
