This fine model has been superbly hand made in solid high grade silver which is not marked but has been tested. It was most likely produced by a European silversmith and is a high quality individual model depicting a Middle Eastern 19th century sailing Dhow. It is of a good size and it has great eye appeal with its beautifully crafted hull with a detailed handrail around its rear deck and a working hinged rudder. The vessel is set with its sail raised and its anchor is drawn. It is displayed on a finely figured mahogany stand. It is in good condition. The weight is 421 grams or 14.75 ounces.
