Beautiful fine late 19th century Meissen figure of a young shepherdess girl playing a flute with her lamb lying at her feet. Fully marked to the base and with an incised artist mark. Superbly painted with florals to her clothes, standing on a scrolled, gilded base with naturalistic painted setting and a small tree with bocage.

She measures 24cm high by approx. 12cm wide. Condition is very good: there is loss to the bottom tip of the flute, a tiny hairline across the lamb's front right foot, and a few chips to the leaves.
