A wonderful carved Japanese Meiji period red lacquered shodana. Of asymmetric design having various shelves, sliding and hinged doors with 2 drawers. The top has a three quarter gallery with a carved and pierced bird of prey. The doors and drawers with high relief carved flowers and bird. The back panel with shallow carved bamboo. The whole standing on a shaped and carved base with scroll feet. Condition - very good.
Dimensions - Height…70’’/ 178cm. Width …42’’/ 107cm. Depth … 16.5’’/ 42cm. Delivery to most of UK mainland £65.
