Magnificent Antique Inlaid Box c.1900
A simply stunning and highly decorative box with the most intricate inlay. The box has a plethora of exotic timbers inlaid to it together with Mother of Pearl and brass.
I think probably Middle Eastern in origin, perhaps Persian. The lid of the box has a wonderful shape with circular discs of pearl inlay.
There is a shallow chip to the lid interior rim, insignificant but mentioned and shown for accuracy.
Dating to around 1900 / 1910, this box is a decorators delight and in superb condition. 7 3/4" in diameter x 2" to top of domed lid.
