This is a fine late 19th / early 20th century Silver Plated Teapot in the classic Regency style. The teapot is a rounded oblong with a part reeded body and an ebonised wood handle and finial.

The teapot is made in Birmingham by George Bowen & Sons and dates to the period c.1890-1910.

Condition is very good, with no dings or dents and no significant plate loss. There is some light tea staining to the inside of the pot, but nothing too significant. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The teapot is 29cm / 11.4ins from spout to handle, 11.2cm / 4.4ins across and 14cm / 5.5ins high. It weighs 709g / 25oz.

The bottom of the teapot is marked with GB & S in a shield, for George Bowen & Sons, their longbow trademark and EPNS for silver plate.
