Large Cast Iron Fire Back
Antique large cast iron fire back.
This is a lovely item with very large proportions and could make a real focal point in a large room.
Recently repainted with black high temperature paint.
Full of age and charm.
We are unsure of the age of the fire back, but it seems quite old, possibly 19th Century.
Maximum overall dimensions 89cmW x 74cmH x 4cmD.
Historic knocks, marks and wear. There is an old thermal hairline crack (barely visible and only goes half way across), which is quite normal for antique fire backs and adds to its charm and authenticity. The back is still good and strong.
