Dating from the around the early 1960s, this neat little teak chest of three drawers, each with a single central handle, was produced by Jentique. Raised on flat, tapering, legs with brass feet and incorporating a beautifully disguised secret compartment with a ‘rise and fall’ feature that causes a section with two lidded compartments and a central letter-rack to appear when the surface is pulled slightly forward, transforming this piece into a small writing desk as well as a useful chest of drawers.
