Georgian Rockingham Cream Jug Circa 1830-1841
For sale we have a very attractive milk/cream jug by the fine Georgian Yorkshire porcelain maker Rockingham.
This typically ornate Rockingham milk/cream jug is richly decorated with a cobalt blue and gilt rococo design. The base is unmarked, but the style is typical of the Royal Rockingham period dating the piece to between 1830 - 1841.
The milk jug is approximately 4 & 1/2 (11.4cm) high and is in an excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, although there is a little bit of wear to the gilt around the rim.
