A very nice Antique, George II, English Sterling Silver Tray made by Richard Rugg in London and dating from c1756.
The tray hallmarked on the base with the maker's mark "R.R" for Richard Rugg, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head London town mark and the date letter "A" for 1756/57.
The is an engraved crest to the centre, the engraving worn.
