French Spelter Lion, T Cartier
Fabulous French spelter figure of a snarling lion by T Cartier. A wonderful sculpture of a vicious lion in warm brown colours upon a tiered rockwork style base dated 1909.
Thomas François Cartier was a French sculptor who created many models of lions and other big cats and dogs especially hunting dogs.

Height = 29 cm (11.4")
Width = 60 cm (23.6")
Depth = 17 cm (6.7") All measurements are done to the widest point .
