Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale this fine quality Nineteenth century Victorian hallmarked silver bonbon dish or coaster with delightful Rococo style repousse decoration.

Maker: Fenton Brothers Ltd
Date Mark: 1895
Assay Mark: Sheffield
Weight: 54 grams
Diameter: 13.5 cm
The Fenton Brothers namely, John Frederick Fenton and Frank Fenton, set up their business in 1875 at South Moor Works, East Street, Sheffield. The company was converted into a limited liability company in 1896 under the name Fenton Brothers Ltd. The firm were known for producing Silver and Silver Plate objects and became famous an renowned silversmiths during the Victorian era.
Condition Report
No major damage to either dish however, there are some very small dints and the usual age related wear such as surface scratches, a slight knock to the base, but in overall excellent order for their over 120 year age, a beautiful example of quality English silver.
