This is a fantastic quality antique oak English 17th Century two plank solid oak refectory dinging table.

This is a fantastic quality antique 17th Century Charles II two plank dark oak refectory farmhouse table, circa 1660 - 1690. The table top is constructed of two single oak planks finished with cleated ends and dowelled tenons (these features are a sign of good quality). The thick table top is probably a Victorian replacement. The table top features a very good colour / patination. The table base boasts a freeze with original lunette carvings to the front and two sides. Below the table, the turned legs are connected by a solid oak central stretcher with a dowelled frame. The base of the legs have been raised a little to accommodate the dimensions of present day persons. The table top is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table.

Condition Report
In very good condition commensurate with age. This table boasts an early base (Charles II) the detachable thick top is most likely a Victorian replacement. The base of the turned legs have been raised a little to accommodate the dimensions of present day persons. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of active wood worm, solid in joint, very heavy and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

UK Buyer Payment
For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment must be made within 5 days of the sale.
