Fine quality early 19th century Qing dynasty Chinese bronze censer,c1820. Nicely cast and heavy at 1.4kg it is of traditional form standing proudly on tripod legs. It has stylised handles and is profusely decorated with birds, foliage etc. There are character marks to the base. The bronze has taken on great colour/patina following many years of handling and use. Overall condition is good but there is an historic repair to the base (please see photographs) , but this now part of the character of the piece.
