David Leach Lowerdown Studio Pottery Lemonade Set
A most impressive, vintage, mid-century era studio pottery Lemonade set.
Made at David Leach's historic Lowerdown Pottery in Bovey Tracey, south Devon.
This lot comprises one large jug together with a set of 6 mugs.
All items are crisply impressed with the Lowerdown pottery stamp and owing to the undoubted quality, I feel it very likely that these are of the hand of David Leach himself and I attribute them to him.
The jug stands a monumental 21cms tall and is very substantial, expertly thrown, with a glorious strap handle. The quality of the decoration is all there to be seen, with the motif of flowering foxglove (rendered in painted iron glaze, along with cobalt blue flourishes) echoed on each of the mugs.
A quite stunning set in superb condition.
Price includes packing to a high standard and UK delivery via 24 hour courier. Email or call for any further information on this item. We give great attention to each and every item we select and offer for sale, priding ourselves on the accuracy of our descriptions and research.
