A good Chamberlain's porcelain dessert plate with shaped rim decorated in a dark imari palette and gilt with the pattern that has become known as the jabberwocky after the poem by Lewis Carroll. In the Chamberlain records (reference Chamberlain-Worcester Porcelain, Godden), pattern number 1727 which is marked verso, is described as "Coburg..." (the shape) "...drab & blue border dragon gilt". c.1830.

It measures 22.9cm (9") wide and 2.2cm (7/8") high.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
