Circa 1850, exhibition quality carved oak serving table, attributed to Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1812-1852), and commissioned by the Marquess of Breadalbane, for Taymouth Castle. In quarter sawn oak with carved back featuring fleur de lis designs, and pierced Gothic tracery. The carved Gothic frieze with central Breadalbane coat of arms (with boar head and motto ‘Follow Me’) over trestle end, barley twist supports with carved double stretchers centred by a foliate boss. With scrolled feet over brass castors.
