This is a most beautiful and very decorative Suzani tapestry or wall hanging dating from the early 20th Century. The piece is probably from around Uzbekistan and is skilfully worked in colourful silks on a warm claret red silk cloth. This embroidery is in excellent condition and would make a very pretty throw for a bed or sofa but would of course look wonderful as a wall hanging. It measures 148 cms by 102 cms.
