Antique Welsh Dresser, British, Oak, Sideboard
This is an antique Welsh dresser. A British, oak sideboard cabinet of country house proportion, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak shows deep caramel hues beneath a wax polish finish
Graced with fine grain interest throughout and wisps of medullary rays
A wide crown moulding sits prominently over the whole
Back rest arranged as a trio shelves set between carved pilasters
The generously sized base offers a set of six drawers and two side cabinets
Drawers and doors dressed with inset, brass lined locks —in working order, keys present
Brass drop handles to each drawer sit upon decorated backplates
Shaped handles to the cabinet doors with quarterfoil mounts
Beaded field panels adorn the doors and drawer frames
Standing upon a shaped front apron with square section feet
