This is a beautiful hard paste porcelain blue ground vase dating from the third quarter of the 18th century. The hand painted and gilded vase has images of exotic birds to both sides and Rococo style gilded handles. The quality gilded insects to the body of the vase look fabulous against the cobalt blue.
The vase has the Chelsea gold anchor mark to the base. (1758-70)
For its age this is in very good condition. (One handle re-attached, slightly rubbed areas to the paint and gilding. Otherwise excellent.)
The vase measures 30 cms high 21 cms wide by 13 cms deep.
