A really unusual and rare antique hallmarked silver receipts/invoices desk 'spike' by Sheffield silversmiths Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall.)

Hallmarked for 1897 on weighted square base and also on circular spike base. (The spike itself is silver plated steel). Also marked with the retailer's name, A. Barrett & Sons, 63&64 Picadilly.

Would make a lovely and ususual desk accessory or gift.
