Antique Carved Walnut Corner Chair
A beautiful and impressive antique carved walnut corner chair. This was most likely made in Italy, we would date it to around the 1790’s period.
It is of extremely fine quality, with crisp and interesting carving, including gargoyles around the outer edges and a cherub on the top edge. The chair is beautifully designed and is a useful size.
We have had the frame re-polished and the seat has been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is superb for its age, with a gorgeous overall patina.
Width – 28 inches , 71 cm
Depth – 27 inches , 69 cm
Height – 29 inches , 74 cm
