This is an antique canapé sofa. A Continental, ebonised wing settee in Louis XV revival taste, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1870.
Exudes quality and the quintessential revival taste of Louis Xv craftsmanship
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order, benefiting from gentle use
Dashing ebonised show frame adorned with relief carved leaf patterns
Superb quality cotton line fabric in light cream hues, professionally upholstered
Generous seating for three, with a high cushioned back rest
Cushioned arms flow gracefully towards pronounced knuckles
Each seat defined by the serpentine front cushion
Tasteful golden brocade trim adorns the fabric throughout
Contrasting against the frame, golden beading accentuates the arms and front apron
