Antique Bakhtiari Carpet Prayer Rug
This is a delightful antique Bakhtiari prayer rug with a very attractive colour palette dating from the early 20th century circa 1910. The prayer rug has a one way design with Mihrab to the top over a large urn issuing flowers beneath and flanked by a pair of tall trees. The main field is a warm coral and the carpet also features indigo, warm red and a pretty light blue. With a little wear to the ends and selvedges, this is a very pretty rug.
The carpet measures 198 cms by 140 cms
