A rare George 1st Seaweed marquetry chest on chest
A magnificent and rare George 1st walnut and seaweed marquetry chest on chest. The top chest comprising of two over three drawers, and the bottom chest comprising of two small over two large drawers.
The main frontage of the chest is lavishly decorated with finely cut marquetry depicting tightly knit rolling foliage and flowers.
The chest has superb colour and patination, and is in excellent condition.
The chest has an untouched patina with scratches, marks and old restorations, with some minor losses to the marquetry, along with later handles and escutcheons - commensurate with age.

Height 168cm x Width 100cm x Depth 58cm
The back bares some old removals labels for a lady Watt 29/05/1929.
