1950’s Painted 16-Draw Haberdashery Cabinet
An Original English Made 1950s 16-Draw Retail or Shop Glazed Haberdashery Cabinet. Over painted in an off-white this solid cabinet was in full use up until Christmas Eve 2020 in our vintage and pre loved clothing and accessories department. Only due to a cosmetic refresh of the shops furnishings are we selling this one.
Very useable and practical with lots of displayable storage it could be just the counter you are looking for in your shop or maybe an alternative chest of draws in your bedroom or dressing room. The glass is original and I cracked or chipped with age related scratches and mark to the thick top glass as you would expect to find on a 63 year old working piece of furniture....yes it’s dated on the brass measuring stick/ruler below the ER weights and measures stamp.
You ll notice in the photos that one of the bottom draws is a shorter replacement without the brass cup handle .... this is how we bought it 10 years ago and never been a problem for us. Please also note and enquire that I do ave another one the same size and shape and era in stock which is in the original light wood and not painted....if you want more info or photos of this one let me know but note the asking price is higher as it is fully original with all the draws etc.
