Mahogany Show Frame Suite
Description
A very pretty little show frame suite with excellent condition polish work on a cabriole leg from around 1900. It has a good solid frame which boasts some good detailing in the carved top rail and down the face of the arms as they come to meet the back with a very small wing shape. We restored this suite for a client a few years ago and it clearly has had minimal use. The polished woodwork could have been done a few weeks ago and the upholstery is very tidy indeed and can easily be used for a good few years more if the fabric suits your decor. Mind you it is not difficult to fit this furniture in, as the beige damask type fabric being a simple classic is so versatile. Available at considerably less than if this had just been reupholstered for you, it is without doubt an excellent buy. It could fit a small cottage or go into a conservatory or maybe a dining room or even a large bedroom. Although the sizes below are compact the fact this has a very neat arm, unlike many modern examples, means the seat size is still very useable.
