New BBC 2 Series - ANTIQUES MASTER
BBC2 Antiques Master is on a quest for the most PASSIONATE and KNOWLEDGEABLE AMATEUR ANTIQUES EXPERT in the UK
Antiques Master is a brand new, and very high end, aspirational antiques show for prime time BBC2.
LOOKING FOR PROSPECTIVE CONTESTANTS - COULD IT BE YOU?
The aim of the show is to find the most passionate and knowledgeable amateur antiques expert in the UK. Contestants will battle it out over a series of challenges to prove that they have the all round knowledge to win the title of 'Antiques Master' and take home the inaugural trophy. The show itself will be a mixture of 'Q&A' with practical challenges where we will actually have antiques in the studio.
The show is being made by the same department that makes 'MASTERMIND' for BBC Two and it will be pitched at a similar level.
CALLING ALL ANTIQUE DEALERS!
We are seeking assistance as we will be using real antiques in the practical challenges. The rounds may have contestants separating the genuine articles from the fakes or perhaps placing the items given to them in in chronological order. We have one or two dealers helping us at this stage but it would be great to hear from any other Antique Dealers who would like to get involved and in particular be open to the idea of lending us their items or helping us source them? We could sort out the finer details and how best to proceed with this later, it would just be good to know if it was a possibility at this stage.
WE HAVE A VERY TIGHT DEADLINE ON THIS AS THE SERIES STARTS RECORDING AT THE BEGINNING OF MAY 2010.
