A mandarin square badge made for a child, which makes it more unusual and late 19th Century. The badge is a silver pheasant which has been applied to the background which is embroideered in counted stitch. Embroidered to show a lingzhi sea(stripey sea) with waves breaking on to the rocks where the bird is perched or flowers are growing. The background of the sky is in an intricate trellis pattern. Excellent condtion Has been framed and conserved
