A beautiful unused gilded brass vintage Stratton compact which is ideal for all loose face powder. This gorgeous accessory was crafted by the premier British maker in the 1950s. The compact bears a resemblance to a suitcase. The exterior case is decorated with an engine turned design. The compact is in very good condition. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.

The mirror bezel and inner lid are signed Stratton. All the original accessories are present - box, felt pouch, signed leatherette puff, sifter and paper instruction leaflet. All catches and hinges work perfectly. Measures 8 cm x 5.6 cm. Weighs 111.6 grams.

This compact is ideal for use with loose foundation, as a handbag mirror or treasured collectible.

The maker applied a coat of clear lacquer which will prevent tarnishing and so this accessory will not require any cleaning to maintain its beautiful appearance.
