This is a tall Victorian mahogany hall stand with plenty of space for the coats, hats and umbrellas of the whole family. It would sit well in the hallway of a period Victorian house. There is a central mirror to check on your appearance before you leave the house and a handy hinged box in the centre for those items you grab as you go, such as the dog lead or your keys. The bottom section has a removable 3-section metal umbrella or stick tray to catch the drips and mud. The turned uprights with finials, the curved umbrella restraints and the knobs for hanging items are all attractively designed.

The piece has general age-related wear. The lower left side hanging arm is loose and there is a slight wobble to the piece at the base. There is a graze to the wood on the right side of the umbrella restraining curve and a crack through the wood to the top of the right upper hanging arm, behind the knob.
