Victorian Antique Armchair, Scottish Fireside Wing
This is a Scottish wing back, antique armchair dating to the early Victorian period.
A fine example of a fireside chair featuring accentuated wings and a deep seat, it cossets the sitter offering a warm and comfortable position protected from the draughts.
Riding on castors, the chair is raised on cabriole legs to the front and square section, swept rear legs, the arms rise vertically to a subtle scroll and support the 180 degree scooped rear panel.
Traditionally stuffed and well sprung the dark green velour upholstery is in good order detailed with piped trim and deep reeded finish to the rear for added comfort.
A most unusual and desirable armchair which is certain to be a key feature of any setting, solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
