Table stunning French Chestnut refectory c1840
Here we have a very rare French solid Chestnut refectory dining table c1840. As you can see the table has the most wonderful colour and patina. There is a thick plank top which is constructed with a central plank and further planks to the sides which are mitred at the corners. This construction is very typical of antique tables made in the Ardeche region. The top has wonderful grain and colour. There is a frieze below with a single drawer to one side. There are squared and tapered legs all in solid Chestnut. The table is constructed using pegged mortice and tenon joints. A super period forever table which is in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The table will comfortably seat six. There are set of Suffolk ball back chairs photographed around the table which compliment it very well. The chairs are on a separate listing. The dimensions are approx. 150 cm wide 89 cm deep 77 cm high.
