This is a fine quality harlequin set of six Windsor kitchen chairs, in the wheelback design, constructed of solid ash, elm and beech, circa 1940, in excellent original condition.

Description:
This is a fine quality harlequin set of six Windsor kitchen chairs, in the wheelback design, constructed of solid ash, elm and beech, circa 1940, in excellent original condition. The six Windsor kitchen chairs feature six spindles and a central wheel back splat to the inside of a single piece oval shaped ash moulded back rail, supported by two further supporting spindles at the back of the chair, for added strength. The back rail is connected to the saddle shaped elm seats and turned beech legs connected by “H” beech stretchers, which makes them a firm utility chair, ideal for daily use in the kitchen. This style of chair first originated in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. The chairs feature a lovely rich colour with fabulous grain configuration visible on the seats. The six Windsor kitchen chairs boast the classic country styling they would be at home in either a traditional or contemporary setting and they consume very little space.
The six Windsor kitchen chairs feature a rich brown ash and elm colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through the years of care and cleaning they have received.
The six Windsor kitchen chairs would look superb in the kitchen or dining room. They would certainly grace any home in either a traditional or contemporary setting. Condition Report:
This is a fine quality harlequin set of six Windsor kitchen chairs, in the wheelback design, constructed of solid ash, elm and beech, circa 1940, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges (e.g., seats, back and legs) but nothing significant considering the age of them. The chairs have been cleaned, glued and French polished by hand in our workshop to a professional standard, therefore they boast a stunning colour and patination to the wood grain. This is a harlequin (matched) set and therefore there is some minor variation, specifically on the front leg turnings (this is barely noticeable unless pointed out). There are no breaks to the backs or legs of the chairs. The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit, therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.
