A good quality Royal Navy camphor wood chest with hinged lid ideal as a coffee table. An interesting trunk, in its original paint with writing to the side “MR A.W. Shakleton R.N. WT/SUP”, very well made in solid camphor wood. It has a brass lock and hinges and the lid lifts to reveal storage space inside. Would make a great blanket chest, storage box or could be used as a decorative coffee table. Dating from circa 1930’s-1940’s.

Camphor wood, original paintwork to exterior

General wear and marks commensurate with age.
